Baby Girl Nursery
I decided to go with the predictable painting the walls pink for our baby nursery when we found out at our 20 week scan we were expecting a baby girl. I decided on Rose shade from the Dulux bright & light range. I bought some baby pink with white polkas dots curtains which blended in well with the light pink walls.
Her cotbed was my sons old cotbed, which we bought from Babies R Us. I picked this as I wanted all white furniture, and it was the sleigh style cotbed so I liked the shape of it. Also it has a drawer underneath for storage which I like to use for storing bedding. She has a purple animal fitted sheet which I bought from a company on Ebay. As she is too young for a duvet set I thought it was nice to have a patterned fitted sheet to brighten her bed up rather than a plain sheet, and I just liked the bright animals on this one.
Her changing unit was an upcycle project I did. I bought it second hand on Ebay and it was brown and needed painting. So I sanded it down and painted it white and I added some purple crystal door knobs.
I bought the White Ikea MALM Drawers as I like these for storage as they are good quality deep drawers, and again wanted all white furniture.
We bought a personalised canvas for her wall when she was born, its pink background blended in well with the pink room. It is one of those canvases that light’s up too so I thought would be a bit of a fun for her too.
